Protect yourself first
Pause contact with anyone promising recovery.
People who have already lost money are often targeted again. A legitimate report never requires another crypto payment, remote access to your device, or access to your wallet.
If funds are still moving or an account is at risk, contact the relevant exchange or financial institution using a phone number or website you independently verify.

- Full Social Security numbers or exact birth dates
