This notice describes how ScamReporter (“ScamReporter,” “we,” or “us”), the independent operator of scamreporter.xyz, handles information submitted through this website. ScamReporter is not a government agency, law firm, crypto exchange, or recovery company.

2. Information we collect

When you submit a report, we may collect:

• Your name, email, phone number, mailing address, preferred contact method, and age range.
• Information about another affected person when you are authorized to report for them, including whether they are a minor.
• Incident details, timelines, narratives, platforms used, prior report references, and whether contact is ongoing.
• Transaction dates, assets, approximate values, public wallet addresses, transaction hashes, and exchange or wallet names.
• Names, aliases, contact details, websites, profiles, organizations, and public wallet identifiers associated with a suspected party.
• Uploaded screenshots and the descriptions you provide for them.
• Your consent selections, electronic signature, and signature date.
• Basic technical and security data, such as request time, browser information, and network address, when generated by our systems or providers.

3. How we use information

We use report information to receive and organize your submission, review and respond to it, preserve evidence you provide, prevent abuse, maintain service security, meet legal obligations, and—when you give consent—share relevant information with appropriate law enforcement, regulators, financial institutions, exchanges, or other authorities.

Report contents and screenshots are intended to remain in protected administrative systems. The admin@scamreporter.xyz mailbox may receive a case-reference notification and secure review link rather than report contents or file attachments.

4. How information may be shared

We may disclose information:

• To authorities or relevant organizations when you authorize sharing and we believe a referral is appropriate.
• To hosting, storage, security, email, and other service providers that process information for us.
• When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and service integrity.
• In connection with a reorganization, transfer, or succession of the site operator, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell report information or use it for targeted advertising.

5. Retention and evidence

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for intake, review, referral, security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention may vary by report. You should keep your own unedited originals; an upload to ScamReporter is not an evidence backup service.

A deletion request may not reach information already shared with an authority or provider, or information we must preserve for legal, security, or recordkeeping reasons.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the service. No online transmission, email system, or storage method is completely secure. Submit only information relevant to the report, and never submit authentication secrets.

7. Minors

The person submitting a report must be at least 18. An adult may submit information about a minor only if the adult is the parent, legal guardian, or otherwise lawfully authorized to provide the information and consent.

8. Your choices and requests

You may report directly to official agencies instead of using this service. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. To make a request, email admin@scamreporter.xyz. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the report before acting.

9. External sites and changes

Links to government agencies and other sites are governed by their own privacy notices. We may update this notice as the service or law changes; the effective date above identifies the current version.
